Evolution of teaching strategies for reading in France

This thesis deals with the development of reading instruction techniques over the entire course of history of scientific didactics. It is split into two main parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part the three main methods of reading are defined - synthetic, analytic and analytical-synthetic. We will especially focus on the topic of application of the individual method types in the context of the educational process, their comparison and on how they were used over time. In the practical part we collect data on contemporary application of the individual methods in classes and how well are they accepted among the professional public in France.
